Mindfulness for Teens – Discovering Your Inner Strength

Mindfulness for Teens is a newly launched website specifically for teens. It includes a variety of resources such as meditation recordings, videos, and mindfulness information and instructions.

“Being a teen can be really stressful! Mindfulness is a powerful way to handle stress, and live life more fully. Mindfulness is all about living fully in the present moment, without judgment, and with an attitude of kindness and curiosity.” (taken from Mindfulness for Teens website)

Check out what teens think about mindfulness in the Kelty Centre’s 3-minute video, “Mindfulness: Youth Voices.”

I really like how one teen describes mindfulness; “Taking a moment to look at your life with no expectations…” I am definitely going to use this with my students! 🙂

boysontarget1“Learning to self-regulate is a fundamental task of growing up. Increased capacities to monitor and manage emotions will boost your son’s confidence to pursue everyday goals.”                              * excerpt from Barry MacDonald’s Boy Smarts Newsletter – February 2015  MentoringBoys.com
